V-Vigilant: It is a call to be alert " Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" (1 Peter 5: 8) WHY MUST WE BE ALERT 1.We have an adversary (Enemy)" Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time." (Revelation 12: 12) 2. " (Matthew 21: 22) 2.The company we keep: " Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful." (Psalms 1: 1) 3. Building our confidence in God: " When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me." (Psalms 56: 9)
