Encouragement is an act of supporting or giving hope to someone. It also means to persuade someone to do something;to make it easier for them and make them believe it is a good thing to do. There is a need for us to support and encourage one another. This message is coming to us on the basis that most of us are only concerned about ourselves. The Lord is bringing to our notice that we are not gathered as a church only to be concerned about ourselves but to extend the concern ,hope and support to others. We should not be looking at the appearances of those around us and assume that everything is okay, everyone needs encouragement. 1 Samuel 30:1-8: In this passage, David was distressed over what had happened in ziklag but instead of giving up,he encouraged himself in the Lord. In the midst of sickness, distress, trouble, you need not lose hope but encourage yourself in the Lord Hebrews 10:23-25 We should think of ways to motivate one another and not neglect our meeting together. We should promote love. Mark 2:1-5 An act of encouragement was portrayed here. The friends of the sick man encouraged and helped their friend by going the extra mile for him. PRAYER:AS WE ENCOURAGE OURSELVES IN THE LORD AND ALSO ENCOURAGE OTHERS,WE SHALL RECOVER ALL.
